History:
The MDF was founded in February 2005. Initially, it was known as MDG (Market Development Group). Later, it was renamed as MDF (Market Development Forum) in order to avoid confusion with United Nation's 'Millennium Development Goal (MDG)'.
Our Members:
The MDF members include wide range of donor projects (example: SEDF, GTZ-PROGRESS), international NGOs (example: CARE, IDE) and business service providers (example: MIDAS, BASC) working in market development in Bangladesh. The founder members of this forum are GTZ-PROGRESS, CARE Bangladesh, KATALYST and SEDF. Currently there are 32 members and associate members of MDF.
Our objective:
The primary objective of the MDF is information sharing among its members which helps find scopes for creating synergy and avoiding duplication among interventions by the member organizations.
