The 'Market Development Forum: Partnering Leather Sector Development' will be held on December 6 & 7 at Hotel Sonargaon. This event is jointly organized by Leather Sector Business Promotion Council and Ministry of Commerce.

The Seminar on Shrimp Exports from Bangladesh: prospects and Challenges will be held on september 30 and October 1, at Hotel Sheraton. In this 2-day seminar, various local and international specialists on shrimp and exports as well as senior government officials will be present.

MDF will organize an event on ‘Expanding Horticulture Exports of Bangladesh’ on August 19, 2009 (Wednesday) at Hotel Washington (56, Gulshan Avenue Gulshan-1, Dhaka-1212, PH.-8851467-72, 8850091-95) from 09.30 am to 03.50 pm. Mr. Mustafa Mohiuddin, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Commerce will be present in the event as the Chief Guest alongside Dr. Kshirode Chandra Roy, Director General, Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute as the Special Guest.

The residential Training on 'Value Chain Development' will be organized on July 27 to July 30, 2009 at BRAC CDM, Rajendrapur, Dhaka. Mr. G. B. Banjara will offer training for the MDF members 'Value Chain Development'. The training is organized in assistance of GTZ-PROGRESS. Interested participants are requested register by July 15, 2009.
