The governing structure of the Market Development Forum consists of the 5 members of the Executive Committee, to provide leadership and fund certain MDF expenses.
MDF Executive Committee (EC): The MDF will be steered by an Executive Committee comprised of five stakeholders from the forum. The members of the EC will be elected by the regular members of the MDF. The Elected EC will prevail for the duration of one year, working closely with the coordinator through the whole year. The five Executive Committee members shall have equal say in the strategic direction of the MDF and the Office of the Coordinator. The EC will be responsible for:
- Planning and executing MDF activities
- Managing sponsorship activities
- Interaction with MDF working groups
Chair of the MDF: The Chair of the MDF will be decided on by the EC by a majority vote. The period of the chair will be for one year. The responsibility of the Chair of MDF will be to ensure that the activities decided upon and stated in the business plan are carried out through the course of the year.
MDF Coordinator: The MDF Coordinator will be a neutral position, and work on behalf of all MDF members, being assigned on a full time basis to take responsibility of ensuring effective sharing of information and collaboration among the group's stakeholders as well as the smooth running of the MDF in general. Together, the EC, the Chair and the Coordinator will ensure that the activities of MDF are carried out properly.
